We Survived Illusions: 5 Companies Where You Can Find the Best Magicians in Vietnam

  • Performance Variety: We looked at the range of acts available. A versatile performer ensures the entertainment fits the specific energy and size of your event, rather than forcing a stage act into a small dining room.
  • Audience Engagement: Magic falls flat if the crowd isn't involved, so we prioritized acts that consistently draw the audience into the performance with high interactivity and crowd work. We checked if the magician can handle different age groups and keep everyone participating, rather than just passively watching.
  • Professionalism & Reliability: Nothing ruins a party faster than a no-show or a lack of preparation, especially in a corporate setting. We assessed their reputation for punctuality, clear communication, and their ability to deliver exactly what was promised in the contract.
  • Cultural Relevance: We valued performers who understand the local context or integrate Vietnamese culture into their act. This helps bridge the gap between international standards and local audience expectations, making the show resonate deeply with a hometown crowd.

If there is one thing harder than navigating Saigon traffic during rush hour, it’s finding event entertainment that actually keeps a Vietnamese crowd off their phones.

Corporate galas demand high-stakes energy, and wild birthday bashes in Hanoi require non-stop entertainment. A good magician steps in as the secret weapon to save the day.

But finding a pro who doesn’t just pull a tired rabbit out of a hat is surprisingly tough.

To conjure this list, I volunteered as a target and survived mind-bending tricks, vanishing acts, and my fair share of mediocre card shuffling.

Through careful trial and error, I’ve dug into the local scene to separate the amateurs from the true illusionists.

Here is our ultimate guide to the best magicians in Vietnam who execute flawless technical tricks while putting on a wickedly entertaining show to elevate your next event.

How much does a magician in Vietnam cost?

If you are looking to hire a professional for a standard one-hour show, you should generally budget somewhere between 7,500,000 and 10,000,000 VND. Prices fluctuate wildly depending on the specific “vibe” and scale you need. A cozy, themed birthday package might cost significantly less per seat, keeping a dozen kids happy without stretching the budget.

On the other hand, booking an award-winning star or a grand illusionist for a massive corporate product launch will naturally command a premium, similar to international rates.

1. Mystic Night Show

Website: https://mysticnightshow.com/

Address: Hoa Tay Space Top Floor, 54 Ky Con Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

Contact: [email protected]

Schedule: Fri 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM

If you’re tired of standard magic tricks, the Mystic Night Show delivers something truly special. It’s tucked away in a hidden, speakeasy-style venue on the second floor.

Yes, there’s no elevator, and you might break a slight sweat climbing the stairs to get there…but trust me, the performance easily justifies the cardio!

Once inside, the cozy setup means there genuinely isn’t a bad seat in the house. You’re sitting just inches from the action, which makes every interactive segment feel incredibly authentic.

Headliner Petey Majik Nguyen completely commands the room with razor-sharp sleight-of-hand and undeniable stage presence.

The best part, though, is the narrative. Instead of typical illusions, the show blends high-end magic with the Vietnamese legend of Sơn Tinh – Thủy Tinh.

It’s a mind-bending mix of cultural storytelling and close-up magic that brings ancient folklore to life right in front of you.

Pros

  • Integrates Vietnamese folklore into magic routines
  • Headlined by star performer Petey Majik Nguyen
  • Interactive segments with the audience
  • Intimate speakeasy setting

Cons

  • Second-floor venue has no elevator
  • Hidden location makes it initially hard to find
  • Premium ticket prices

Customer Reviews

My family enjoyed the show!
My family enjoyed the show! Glad we made it for the once a week Friday 8pm show. Interactive and entertaining. Petey and the team were very friendly and welcoming. They also served sparkling wine pre-show, cocktails and cheese post-show.

The language of magic is universal

If you love magic or just want to experience something unique and fun, then this is for you. I didn’t know what to expect but couldn’t be more satisfied with the overall interactive experience.  I went with four friends and we all loved it! A rare treat in HCMC.

Only note: The show is in English..  The language of magic is universal but the storytelling is in English.

Contact: 036 8787 857 | [email protected]

Schedule: Daily 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM

When you want corporate branding woven seamlessly into entertainment, NamNie’s magic delivers. He can integrate your company’s messaging straight into the performance.

Instead of just telling the audience about a new product, you watch it materialize on stage through customized illusions. A full creative team backs every trick to guarantee high theatrical quality, rather than a simple solo performance.

The founder, NamNie, holds a Master of Magic title from Ukraine, providing an international standard of technical skill right here in Hanoi.

Note, however, that this high-tier production requires a larger budget. While a casual family dinner might not need this scale, a major gala or corporate launch easily justifies the investment.

Pros

  • The founder holds a “Master of Magic” title
  • Custom illusions for corporate brands
  • Full creative team support
  • Trusted by major clients

Cons

  • High fees for small parties
  • Overpowers casual events
  • Requires a larger stage

Website: https://vietnammagic.com/

Address: 9A, Lane 95, Hoang Cau Street, Dong Da District, Hanoi

Contact: 083 9988 966 | [email protected]

Schedule: Daily 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Vietnam Magic can step in as a reliable partner for corporate planners who lose sleep over liability and paperwork.

Operating as a fully registered legal entity, the company provides essential binding contracts and Red Invoices, including Value Added Tax (VAT).

Rather than acting as a single performer, they function as a talent agency connecting you with celebrity magicians featured on national television.

You can secure an illusionist, a master of ceremonies (MC), and circus performers in a single booking, stripping away logistical headaches.

This level of convenience commands a premium because of the agency markup. Do expect to pay a higher rate compared to hiring a freelancer directly, so make sure your event budget accounts for the management fee.

Pros

  • Issues legal contracts and VAT invoices
  • Grants access to TV-famous magicians
  • Books MCs and circus acts together
  • Satisfaction refund policy

Cons

  • Agency markup increases total costs
  • Limits direct contact with performers

4. The Dream Guider

the-dream-guider

Website: https://www.thedreamguider.com/magician-vietnam

Serves Vietnam

Contact: 0610 024 008 | [email protected]

Schedule: By Appointment Only

Forget about cheap tricks and flashy props. Instead of relying on sudden visual shocks to get a reaction, The Dream Guider grounds the performance in pure mentalism and thoughtful storytelling.

They slowly build a genuine emotional connection with the audience. The whole act has a wonderfully calm, soulful pace.

What really stands out is how beautifully the performer reads the room. Whether they are setting the mood on a quiet Saigon rooftop or adapting to a lantern-lit street, they tailor the illusions perfectly to the atmosphere.

They always deliver a refined, memorable evening, and that’s exactly why they are frequently booked for high-end resorts and intimate VIP dinners.

Just keep in mind that this is a slow-burn experience. Because of its intimate nature, the act can easily get lost in the noise of a loud, high-energy party where crowds expect fast-paced visual comedy. But for the right audience, it is absolute magic.

Pros

  • Tailored for luxury VIP events
  • Driven by emotional storytelling
  • Adapts routines to venue atmospheres
  • Brings refined international expertise

Cons

  • International contact number (French)
  • Slow pacing gets lost at loud parties

5. BHT Magician

Areas Served: Vietnam (Da Nang focus)

Contact: 07 0202 2729 | [email protected]

Schedule: By Appointment Only

Picture this: you’re an event planner organizing a huge thing in Da Nang and need entertainment that truly drops jaws.

Enter BHT Magician. He isn’t just doing basic, self-taught parlor tricks here. He actually honed his craft at the Thailand Magic Academy, one of Southeast Asia’s absolute premier spots. This formal training really shines through in his flawless stagecraft.

We’re talking classic grand illusions here, such as making doves materialize out of thin air or the iconic sawing an assistant in half. It’s a massive spectacle specifically designed to wow a large audience on an elevated stage.

Because he goes all out with heavy props and complex setups, venue choice is everything.

This act simply won’t squeeze into a tight restaurant corner. You really need to lock down ample space and professional lighting before booking him. Give him the room, though, and the payoff is an incredibly polished, unforgettable performance.

Pros

  • Trained at Thailand Magic Academy
  • Executes classic grand illusions
  • Specializes in Central Vietnam events
  • Provides full choreography services

Cons

  • Demands strict space and lighting setups
  • Higher cost than standard party entertainers
