1. MZ Club – Live Music

Website:http://mzentertainment.vn/index.php
Address: 56 Bui Thi Xuan Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City
Contact: (+84) 906 025 658 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Sunday 7:30 PM–1 AM
MZ Club – Live Music impressed us with how smoothly it shifts from a refined European fusion restaurant to an elegant live-music bar as the evening progresses.
Over the past 15 years, it has built a strong reputation by consistently hosting professional bands every night starting at 7:30 PM.
Each performance is supported by a high-end sound system, creating an immersive experience rather than just background entertainment.
A friend recently celebrated a milestone birthday here. She highlighted both the quality of the wine selection and the thoughtful food pairings.
The overall setup feels polished too. They combine dining and live performance in a way that appeals to guests looking for a more refined night out.
Just note that the venue enforces a strict dress code, so casual attire like shorts may not be accepted.
Pricing also sits on the higher end compared to nearby acoustic cafes, making it a more premium choice for a night out.

Good fun place for a drink . Service staff very friendly and they had a live band with 9 different singers that night. They also have affordable bottle/food packages and don’t overcharge you on the mixers.

2. CHÀO SHOW

Website:http://chaoshow.vn/
Address: 6 Nguyen Sieu Street, Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam
Contact: 086 903 0473 | [email protected]
Hours: Hours may vary
CHÀO SHOW delivers cultural immersion through a staged blend of live traditional music and visual storytelling, set on a modern, purpose-built stage.
We love how the performance guides audiences across both northern and southern Vietnam in one sitting.
They use ethnic instruments and folk traditions to highlight the country’s cultural depth while still keeping the experience accessible to international guests.
The production also takes dietary needs seriously. They offer clear accommodations, such as a certified Halal-friendly and vegetarian menu for attendees.
The main limitation is flexibility. The show runs on a fixed schedule, so you need to book in advance rather than dropping in spontaneously.
It also stays firmly rooted in traditional folk music, so it won’t suit audiences looking for contemporary pop or modern mainstream performances.

I am local but I was truly impressed with this Vietnamese folk music show. In just over an hour, I was able to directly experience most of the music from Vietnamese musical instruments and enjoy specialty dishes from North to South of Vietnam. This is a show well worth seeing when you visit Saigon known as Vietnam’s most vibrant and hospitable city. A MUST SEE show in town.
- ALEX PHAM Google Review
This was an incredible showcase of traditional and folk musical instruments from across Vietnam’s diverse regions. As a Vietnamese-American, I found it to be a profoundly unique and educational experience that deepened my connection to my cultural heritage. The atmosphere was magical, and the performers transported the audience on a journey through Vietnam’s vibrant landscapes. It was truly an honor to witness such a captivating live performance.

Address: Alley 188, house number BB4 Nguyen Van Huong Street, An Khanh Ward Ho Chi Minh City
Contact: 0818 678 139 – 0938 903 888 – 0352053506 – 0379900059

Saxn’Art Club offers a rare chance to experience world-class jazz in Southeast Asia. Their shows are backed by founder and Berklee College of Music alumnus Trần Mạnh Tuấn.
Since opening in 2008, the venue has built a reputation for blending traditional Vietnamese melodies with modern jazz styles like bebop.
The actual venue itself has a strong acoustic design in a very intimate setting, so you really get to focus on the music. We recently spent an evening here, and the sound engineering really stood out for its clarity and balance.
The Thao Dien location also makes it convenient for expatriates looking for a more authentic, music-driven nightlife experience rather than a typical bar scene.
The cozy interior is part of the charm, but it does come with limited seating, and the space tends to fill up quickly on weekends.
They also only focus on jazz and fusion styles, which might not suit visitors expecting mainstream music or a more dance-heavy atmosphere.

It’s a nice place to enjoy the jazz music! I have been a fan of this club since it’s in Le Loi street, district 1. This time I enjoyed the show of the well-known saxophonist, Tran Manh Tuan with his Japanese guests! I highly recommend the club and wish all the best and good health to Tran Manh Tuan and the club!

4. Mây Sai Gon Live Stage

Website:http://maysaigon.net/
Address: 4 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, Ben Nghe Ward, Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City

Hours: Hours may vary
Mây Sài Gòn Live Stage is designed to bridge the gap between a small bar show and a full stadium concert. They create a more intimate setting where audiences can still feel close to the performers.
The focus stays on emotional connection, supported by a professional audio setup that keeps performances clear and well-balanced.
The platform also operates across multiple major cities, curating lineups that range from indie acoustic acts to mainstream rock and pop.
By hosting shows in established theaters, they maintain high-quality stage production, including lighting and sound.
That level of production comes with premium pricing, though. Tickets typically start around 550,000 VND.
The formal ticketed format also doesn’t allow for spontaneous walk-ins during a night out.
Customer Reviews
Best music theatre in town. Sound quality is great, with little variation on different seatings. Their singers are top of the vocalists, like Quốc Thiên, Hoàng Hải, Lâm Bảo Ngọc, v.v… If you just pass by you can buy a casual ticket for 500k, you won’t regret it.
- Minh Nguyen Google Review
The tea room is located in the multi-purpose performing arts building on Tran Quang Khai street. The room is cozy, has cushioned chairs, good air conditioning, good sound and lighting. I bought tickets with clear seat numbers. The price of the concert depends on the singer’s name. I found it reasonable and really liked it.

5. Amber Lounge

Website:https://amberloungesg.com.vn/
Address: 64 Ton That Thiep Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City
Contact: 0901 446 403 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Sunday 5 PM–5 AM
Amber Lounge works well for groups that can’t agree on a single music style for the night, since it splits the experience into two distinct spaces.
The ground floor focuses on soulful live music with a lounge-style setup, while the upstairs shifts into a higher-energy DJ club atmosphere. This gives guests flexibility within the same venue.
The drink menu leans upscale, featuring artisanal cocktails and a solid wine selection.
With operating hours stretching until 6 a.m., it also serves as a late-night option for crowds that want to keep the evening going well past standard closing times.
The main trade-offs come from its intensity and location. Both floors run at a high volume, which makes relaxed conversation difficult.
The downtown setting also limits parking, and street congestion can make arrival and departure frustrating when the venue is busy.
Customer Reviews
I spent my last evening in Saigon searching for live music. And finally found it at Amber Lounge on. Great live band doing some excellent covers. 😃👌 I recommend it as a chilled out place where the beers are not too expensive, and the people are really friendly. Has a great vibe! And I was really looking for some live music! So, I’m happy. 😌🎸

The live music was great. Bartender Stella was very friendly and made my stay very enjoyable. Playing dice with her and Joy was extremely fun. Every lady drink had to be sign by you so there’s no cheating here. I recommend coming here if you want to have a bit of fun without worrying about being ripped off.
