1. Yuzu Omakase ゆずお任せ Ha Noi

Address: 17 Thai Phien Street, Le Dai Hanh Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City
Contact: +84 76 310 1717
Hours: Monday to Sunday, 12–1:30 PM, 6–10 PM
Taking traditional Japanese artistry and flipping it on its head, Yuzu Omakase revolutionizes the meal with an intensely modern twist.
This spot leverages the massive reputation of its award-winning Thai parent company to bring a highly personalized, theatrical meal right to the center of the city.
I recently secured a seat here, and the interactive presentation featuring smoking stone cloches made the imported seasonal seafood taste even better.
Also, they organize their menus into tiered experiential journeys instead of a conventional list, keeping the dinner feeling fresh and exciting. But be prepared for a hefty final bill when dining here.
The mandatory surcharges for Value-Added Tax (VAT) and service fees drastically inflate the final cost of their premium menus.
Plus, the severe capacity limits mean you have to book weeks in advance just to get a spot in their acoustically tuned private rooms.
Really fun omakase experience in Hanoi! It is a bit pricey but I do think it’s worth it. They have a very good selection of fish and some innovative dishes. the only comment I have is some of the courses were back to back very rich in flavor so it made me wish there were some lighter options in between. Additionally I think the gummy bears in the dessert were unnecessary for the price point of the whole meal. Overall I would visit again. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating!

It was our last day and last dinner in Hanoi for the 6 days trip. Omakase seems to be a good choice for a closure.
Everyone was impressed, even though my guests were elderly and don’t eat much, everyone finished a whole set by themselves. Presentation, taste and ambient was all to the point.
Value matched with the price, however it would’ve been perfect if they had draft beer, for me I was happy with sake.

2. Kappo Sue Omakase

Website: https://kappo-sue.vn/
Address: 24 Phan Ke Binh Street, Ngoc Ha Ward, Hanoi 11108
Contact: +84765044071
Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM–2 PM, 6–11 PM; Saturday, 6–11 PM
Kappo Sue Omakase is built around a highly technical Kappo-style dining experience centered on its “Nine Flavors” concept, where precision and progression of taste define the entire meal.
The kitchen is led by Head Chef Nobuyuki Tasaki alongside planner Masamichi Saito, and that level of culinary pedigree shows in the structure and execution of each course.
The experience is intentionally intimate, with only eight counter seats. This gives diners a direct, unobstructed view of the chef’s knife work and cooking process.
This setup makes the entire meal feel more like a guided performance, with staff offering close, attentive service throughout rather than a standard restaurant flow.
Signature dishes like charcoal-grilled Wagyu and daily changing clay pot rice reinforce the focus on technique and seasonal refinement rather than a static menu.
The main drawback is availability and scheduling. Weekend reservations are extremely limited due to the small seating capacity, and the restaurant does not operate during mid-day hours, which rules out late-afternoon business lunch options entirely.
Omakase restaurant recently opened on Phan Ke Binh street. The food is made with fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and delicious. The service is excellent, and the chef is very meticulous. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu. A worthwhile experience!

A wonderful meal beautifully presented at a very affordable price. I think this is an ideal restaurant that everyone should visit. I was also extremely impressed by the fresh flowers beautifully arranged on the tables, creating a relaxing atmosphere while enjoying the meal here.

3. Kappou Hanoi

Website: https://kappouhanoi.com/
Address: 15A Nguyen Dinh Thi Street, Thuy Khue Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi
Contact: 02473016988 – 0969269933
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:30 AM–2 PM, 6–10 PM
Kappou Hanoi helped popularize a “trust the chef” omakase-style dining approach in the city, built around daily-changing menus that follow the freshest available ingredients.
The concept blends traditional Japanese techniques with local Vietnamese spice profiles, creating dishes that shift constantly rather than following a fixed menu structure.
A friend of mine who recently dined here mentioned how Head Chef Taka personally guided the table through multiple preparations of fugu, which added a strong educational layer to the meal rather than just a standard tasting experience.
The space itself also reinforces the concept, combining Vietnamese sedge wall elements with a koi pond to create a calm, intentionally designed atmosphere.
Because of its central location and popularity, logistics can be challenging. Heavy urban traffic makes driving inconvenient. The restaurant also doesn’t provide dedicated parking, so guests often need to park several blocks away and walk in.
Advance booking is strictly required as well, meaning spontaneous walk-ins are not accommodated.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a set menu where every course felt this complete and well executed. The omakase at Kappou isn’t defined only by premium ingredients, but by the technique and standout sauces behind each dish. Must try in Hanoi.

As a big fan of Japanese Omakase, I have been here more than 3 times and I absolutely love what I got in Kappou. It’s not only the amazing food but also the interesting conversation with Head Chef Taka. He made me feel like I was visiting old friend and living in Japanese culture by lively stories. He made my dining time better than I had anticipated. Trust me, the price is totally worthy for what your experience.
A sure 5 star dining spot, I definitely would come back again in my next trip in Hanoi. You did great job!

4. Nuboko Sushi & Teppanyaki

Website: https://nubokorestaurant.com/
Address: 2nd fl, Hong Ha Center, 37 Ngo Quyen, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi
Contact: +84 344 891 168
Hours: Monday to Sunday, 11:30 AM–2 PM, 5:30–10 PM
Nuboko Sushi & Teppanyaki combines high-end sushi curation with live teppanyaki grilling, creating a dining format that blends performance and precision.
The experience is built around interaction at the counter. The chefs prepare dishes in front of guests while sharing context on premium ingredients like A5 Wagyu and seasonal seafood.
A key strength is the pacing and presentation of the food. Raw sushi courses and sizzling teppanyaki plates are served in tandem, which keeps the experience dynamic and engaging throughout the evening rather than following a traditional multi-course rhythm.
The storytelling from chefs also adds depth to each dish, especially for luxury ingredients that benefit from explanation.
That said, reservations require a mandatory deposit and strict 24-hour advance booking. Seating is also extremely limited.
As a result, spontaneous dining is rarely possible, and peak times often book out completely in advance.
We went to the restaurant as a couple, and the staff were very helpful.
This was my first time experiencing an Omakase restaurant in Hanoi. Sitting at the counter, I had the opportunity to interact with the chef, which was very interesting. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was beautiful. 👍
I will definitely come back to enjoy it with my family. 🥰

5. ISHIDAYA OMAKASE – The 3rd Generation

Address: 8A Hang Chao Street, O Cho Dua Ward, Hanoi 10000
Contact: 096 335 1243
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 12–2 PM, 6–10 PM
ISHIDAYA OMAKASE – The 3rd Generation carries a strong identity rooted in a Meiji-era family legacy. It has a focus on wild game and ocean-driven omakase courses that reflect the founder’s hunting background.
The menu leans into seasonal availability, creating a dining experience that shifts with both land and sea offerings rather than following a fixed structure.
The interior design blends Western architectural touches with refined Japanese aesthetics, giving the space a polished yet traditional atmosphere that supports the storytelling behind each course.
If you usually frequent upscale bars for curated drinks, you will absolutely love how their staff meticulously matches specific sake and champagne to each seasonal dish.
The experience is also structured with clear formality. Children under twelve aren’t permitted at the main counter and must be seated in private rooms.
A strict smart casual dress code is enforced as well, so casual vacation wear is not accepted.
Ishidaya was the unexpected highlight of my trip to Hanoi. This hidden gem was the best omakase experience in my life. They used the freshest ingredients, had such an attentive / accommodating staff (spoke perfect English), and provided the most delightful experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and chatting with the chef! 10/10 would 100% recommend!
