From Fresh Sushi to Wagyu: The 5 Best Japanese Restaurants in Vietnam

Ingredient Quality: Fresh seafood and carefully sourced meats make all the difference. Restaurants that import premium cuts directly from Japan scored significantly higher on our list.

Atmosphere and Ambience: A great meal requires an inviting environment that transports diners straight to Tokyo or Osaka. You want a space where traditional Japanese aesthetics meet plush, relaxing seating.

Menu Variety: Diverse options ensure both adventurous eaters and those who prefer cooked dishes find something satisfying. The best menus masterfully serve up classic recipes alongside clever local twists.

Value for Money: Premium dining should feel worth the hefty price tag attached to the bill. Portion sizes and the overall dining experience really need to justify that final check.

Craving a slice of Tokyo while wandering through our bustling streets? You are certainly not the only one hunting for an unforgettable sushi roll or a steaming bowl of ramen.

Finding a stellar Japanese restaurant in Vietnam is an absolute treat. Still, with so many hidden izakayas and sizzling yakiniku grills, it can be tough to know which ones are actually worth your time and money.

That is exactly why we put our stomachs on the line. We tasted our way through the local culinary scene, from incredibly fresh seafood to marbled Wagyu beef, to find the absolute standouts.

Highly recommend to everyone!
My uncle was referred this place by a trusted friend, and so we went! The owner, Van, is very passionate about his craft. We learned a lot, drank a lot, and ate a lot! I was a bit skeptical about eating sushi in Vietnam, but considering its nearness to Japan, all of the fish was actually so incredibly fresh and delicious. You get tons of premium cuts for a great price. We had a great time and would highly recommend to everyone!

Customer Reviews

I recommend it so much
It was so nice to sit upstairs the atmosphere is just great. But the food even better, the sashimi is just so great that words can’t describe it.The gyoza was just great, it had a bottom part which had a good crust. I recommend it so much.

Sushi was of great quality and service was friendly
Sushi was of great quality and service was friendly. They did take a moment longer to bring out my beer and sake than I would have liked. I saw the drinks sitting on the counter for a few minutes before someone brought them over. I was hot and needed to quench my thirst so those few minutes seemed like they went forever. They did offer a free lemonade for a review, which was sweet of them.

Customer Reviews

Wagyu beef melted in our mouths
Fantastic service, venue and very reasonable price and the food was really a delight. We didn’t book so they made an exception for two oldies and we’re glad. The wagyu beef melted in our mouths and we’re still talking about the tongue stew

Overall perfection
The restaurant’s decoration is quite striking, with a luxurious and friendly Japanese and Middle Eastern style. The grilled items here are very special, and the staff provides table-side service and detailed descriptions of them. One dish that really stood out was the “Snow Salad”; I believe it was my first time trying it, and I found it quite unique. The restaurant has a spacious and very clean atmosphere, and the staff is very welcoming. Once again, I really enjoyed the view and the overall perfection of the place. I’ll be back.
