Customer Reviews:
Good Food and Service
The food was great! We had the Banh xeo, stir fry beef with rice and hanoi shrimp rolls. All of it were good! We were so full we had to take out some. Serving is good too! Most diners were foreigners when we came. They prepare and explain how to eat the food whenever they serve it, which was a huge plus since we are not locals. Ruby was very cheerful and welcoming. She checks if we need anything just tell her.

“Clean and Comfortable”
We stopped by after exploring Ben Thanh Market and were so glad we did! The location is super convenient and an easy walk from the surrounds. The pho broth was rich and flavourful, and the summer rolls were incredibly fresh. The egg coffee was rich, creamy with a strong hit of coffee. I visited with my husband and son, and we all enjoyed our meals. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the service was amazing — staff were friendly, attentive, and spoke great English. Highly recommend!

2. Home Saigon Restaurant

Website:https://homesaigon.info/
Address: 185/28 Pham Ngu Lao Street – District 1 – Sai Gon
Contact: +84338904446
Hours: Daily: 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM
Finding a quiet sanctuary right in the middle of District 1 feels almost impossible until you stumble upon this distinct spot.
Home Saigon Restaurant crafts an inviting atmosphere by utilizing rural lumber and traditional bamboo to frame its Indochina-inspired architecture.
The kitchen serves up a fascinating menu that balances traditional local flavors with modern Western inspirations, creating plates that are as gorgeous as they are tasty.
When I swung by last month, the fresh spring rolls were so vibrant I almost didn’t want to eat them.
They source their ingredients directly from local vendors to ensure everything stays fresh, offering both à la carte and set menus all day long.
The only real downside is the location; the eatery is tucked into a hidden alleyway, making it a bit tricky for first-time visitors to navigate.
It’s slightly more casual than some of the strictly upscale fine dining restaurants in Vietnam, but the ambiance is incredibly charming.
Customer Reviews:

3. De Tham Restaurant

Website:https://dethamrestaurant.com/
Address: 258 De Tham Street, Pham Ngu Lao ward, District 1
Contact: (+84) 392 337 058, [email protected]

Diners seeking a reliable, centrally located meal will appreciate the extreme convenience of this bustling establishment.
De Tham Restaurant anchors itself right in the heart of District 1, serving up highly authentic local cuisine alongside a dedicated selection of vegetarian food.
Having such a focused plant-based menu right on De Tham Street means larger groups can easily dine together without compromising on flavor.
This spot is particularly great for night owls, as it stays open daily until late and accepts table reservations online until 11:30 PM. They’re an excellent pivot from late-night Italian restaurants in Vietnam if you’re looking for alternatives to pizza after dark.
On the flip side, early risers will need to look elsewhere for their morning coffee fix, as the doors don’t open until 10:30 AM.
Customer Reviews:
“Super Delicious!”
OMG! You have to try the meat with seaweed. First bite, the juicy meats filled with the sour sweet sauce in your mouth, with the vege and vermicelli, damn! You thought you are in paradise! Super delicious!
The seats are limited, the environment is cozy and comfortable. The waitress is polite and nice.

Amazing Food
The food is amazing, love the black coffee which has very nice after taste and also egg coffee!!! The staffs are very friendly and especially Bi who always has a smiling face throughout and very professional. He is also very considerate that when we ordered too much, he stopped us. When we asked for recommendations for one more dish, he explained since we had ordered fried spring roll, hence he will suggest the non-fried. Very considerate!

4. Den Long – Home Cooked Vietnamese Restaurant

Address: 130 Nguyen Trai, District 1
Contact: (+84) 909 949 183, [email protected]

Sometimes you just want a steaming bowl of something deeply familiar that tastes like it was made with love. Den Long excels at delivering a comforting, home-cooked dining experience right in District 1.
The atmosphere here is wonderfully relaxed, making it a stellar option for families traveling with youngsters. They even have booster seats readily available!
There’s also free Wi-Fi, allowing you to easily map out the rest of your city tour while waiting for your food.
You can rely on their daily service from lunch straight through to the late evening, and they offer quick takeout if you prefer to eat back at your hotel.
However, because they strictly focus on traditional, home-style fare, the menu severely lacks any highly experimental or modern fusion cuisine.
Customer Reviews:

We had a lovely lunch at Den Long, their menu is quite big and I saw many dishes that I didn’t see before in the other Vietnamese cities I have visit.
The place is very cozy and nicely decorated.

5. Bep Me In Nguyen Thai Binh

Website:https://bep.mein.vn/
Address: 165/50 Nguyễn Thái Bình, phường Nguyễn Thái Bình, Quận 1, Thành phố
Contact: 0797711119, [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Sunday: 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM
Tucking into familiar street food in a comfortable setting is the ultimate cheat code for weary travelers looking for an easy meal. Bep Me In specializes in family-style dining, serving up traditional comforts in a charming rustic bistro atmosphere.
I dragged some friends here after a long, humid walking tour, and sharing their clay pot rice instantly revived us.
The venue remains open consistently throughout the entire week, so you never have to worry about showing up on a random closure day. They also happily accept bank transfers, which is a massive relief when you realize you have run out of cash.
The primary drawback is its physical placement. As it’s tucked away in an alleyway, you won’t be able to see it from the main street. This may also pose minor accessibility challenges.
