The 5 Best Gyms in Ho Chi Minh City for Your Fitness Goals

Equipment Quality: We evaluated the biomechanical standards and the variety of resistance machines available on the floor. Facilities with state-of-the-art gear and dedicated lifting zones scored much higher.

Accessibility and Location: Navigating urban traffic is a serious hurdle, so we prioritized central locations and extensive operating hours. Centers offering unrestricted access or prime downtown placements stand out for busy professionals.

Atmosphere and Cleanliness: A focused, hygienic environment is absolutely crucial for maintaining a strong mind-muscle connection during tough sets. We checked for rigorous sanitation protocols and a layout that prevents annoying bottlenecks.

Value and Amenities: We compared the membership fees against the actual perks provided to members. Clubs that offer complimentary classes or hassle-free parking provide a much stronger return on your investment.

Pushing past your limits requires the right environment, especially when you are navigating a bustling metropolis.

Finding the best gym in Ho Chi Minh City completely transforms how you approach your fitness routine, whether you want to crush a quick lunch-break lifting session or dive into high-intensity cardio before sunrise.

With so many diverse fitness centers scattered across the districts, narrowing down the perfect spot for your specific goals can feel overwhelming.

But don’t worry! We’ve pounded the pavement to evaluate the top training facilities, making sure you find a space that fuels your drive and keeps you coming back for more.

Stepping into this facility feels like entering a high-end luxury resort rather than a standard weight room. California Centuryon SaiGon Centre delivers a royal-style interior design featuring Italian quartz floors and crystal chandeliers.

The luxurious interior is paired seamlessly with a premium 5-star butler service to cater to your specific workout needs.

Even better, they provide clients with guaranteed access to a personal trainer concierge within 5 minutes of their request. This is alongside coaching from internationally certified trainers.

That said, those without a top-tier membership can expect to pay for a costly day pass or sit through a long sales pitch before using the gym.

While the trainers strongly advise keeping your sessions capped at 60 minutes for optimal high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and calorie deficits, the expansive MMA cage is perfect for those interested in martial arts.

The virtual reality cycling studio also makes every minute count.

Pros

  • Prime central accessibility
  • Comprehensive luxury amenities
  • Scenic workout environment
  • Convenient mall integration
  • Targeted calorie-deficit methods

Cons

  • Costly day pass
  • Rigid workout time limits

Customer Reviews

This gym is amazing – the service is brilliant and the facilities are top notch. I was able to easily buy a day pass or week pass here, without needing to subscribe to a membership or anything similar. Quick note to bring a lock if you need to use the lockers, though they do sell them as well. Absolutely deserving 5 stars!

Today was my first session at California Saigon Centre, and my initial impression was highly positive. The gym’s environment is beautiful and luxurious, immediately setting it apart. I was pleased to find that it wasn’t too crowded during the late morning, allowing for more comfortable workout. The equipment is new and impeccably clean, which adds to the overall appeal of the facility. Unlike other branches, the personal trainers here were respectful and didn’t intrude, letting me focus on my workout. The lobby is also impressive, matching the upscale vibe of the entire space. Overall, it’s a great place to train.

2. Elite Fitness Thảo Điền

Hours: Monday to Friday 6:00AM-10:00PM | Saturday to Sunday 6:00AM-8:00PM

Located inside Vincom Mega Mall, Elite Fitness Thảo Điền feels more upscale than the typical neighborhood gym. The space is modern and well-maintained, with standout features like a saltwater pool and dedicated areas for Pilates and cycling.

I remember feeling pretty energized after joining one of their Group X classes. The sessions had a lively feel, and the group atmosphere made it easier to stay motivated.

The gym also includes extras like saunas and a variety of yoga classes, which are great if you want to mix in recovery days instead of always focusing on heavy workouts.

That said, the luxury price point is significantly higher than that of standard commercial spots, so it may not fit every budget. Getting there can also take extra time since the gym is located on the third floor of a large mall.

If you prefer finding inner peace over heavy lifting, their yoga class schedule offers fantastic active recovery.

Pros

  • Convenient mall integration
  • Next-generation equipment
  • Scientifically organized space
  • Central Thao Dien accessibility

Cons

  • Premium price point
  • Mall navigation overhead

3. GYM BRO

Address: 4 Pham Ngu Lao Street, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City 71315, Vietnam
Contact: 097 787 88 88 | [email protected]
Hours: Daily 7:00AM-10:00PM

Maintaining a focused, semi-private atmosphere completely sets this downtown facility apart from massive commercial chains. GYM BRO revolves primarily around highly tailored one-on-one coaching.

They use high-quality imported equipment designed to support proper form and muscle engagement. The trainers are bilingual, which is helpful for expatriates or travelers.

They also offer body composition tracking using InBody scans. I love this because it allows you to monitor your progress over time and see measurable changes.

That said, the smaller boutique setup comes with some limitations. The space is compact, so there aren’t many cardio machines available.

You also won’t find large group classes like aerobics or Zumba, since the focus is strictly on individual strength and conditioning.

Even so, the gym’s cleanliness and thoughtful lighting help minimize distractions. This allows serious lifters to stay focused and maintain a strong mind-muscle connection.

Pros

  • Strategic downtown location
  • Focused training atmosphere
  • Impeccable hygiene standards
  • Flexible training packages

Cons

  • Compact floor space
  • Absence of group classes

Customer Reviews

Small but very good gym. There are yoga mats, a deadlift area, and all the essential machines and equipment you need. It can get quite busy, but there are always free machines and enough space for stretching. Good prices as well — we paid 800,000 VND for a monthly membership. Overall, a great gym for regular training 👍

I went at 7am for a quick 45 minute work out. Paid VND 170,000 which includes a towel. Admittedly a little pricey but OK for a day pass. I found it cool enough in the gym, not sure about the earlier comments about a lack of AC. The is some waiting required as there’s only 1 of each machine. There’s lots of space. The steel plates look ultra cool although personally I would prefer bumpers.

4. House of STEEL

Website: https://www.steelsaigon.com/
Address: 92-94-96 Ha Huy Tap, Tan Phong, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City
Contact: 0901-316-892 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday 6:00AM–10:00PM | Saturday and Sunday 6:00AM–8:00PM

House of STEEL is a massive 2500-square-meter, multi-level fitness facility that feels very different from a typical gym. The space covers six floors dedicated to strength training and recovery, so there’s plenty of room to spread out.

Before starting any workouts, members go through a professional posture screening. This helps create a training plan that matches your mobility and current fitness level.

When I visited, one detail that stood out was the level of personalization. Seeing workout apparel with my name already placed in the locker room felt like a thoughtful touch.

The recovery area is another highlight. The heat therapy suite, cold plunges, and compression boots made recovery after a tough leg workout feel much easier and faster.

Just note that some premium spaces, like the executive co-working lounges, are restricted to higher-tier memberships and require advance booking.

The cost can also add up quickly. A single-day pass runs about 500,000 VND, which makes it expensive if you only plan to visit occasionally.

Pros

  • Premium hygiene and convenience
  • Highly specialized zoning
  • No-pressure trial structure
  • Kids’ junior training options

Cons

  • High daily drop-in cost
  • Strict guest limitations

Customer Reviews

I’ve been to a lot of gyms in a lot of different countries, and this place is my favorite. Lovely staff, excellent and clean equipment, and an overall great atmosphere. It has a recovery area with a sauna, plunge pool, hot tub, and steam room too. In a city as busy as Saigon, the recovery room is paradise to relax in after a hard work out! It is clear that the owner puts a lot of effort into making this a great place to work out in. There’s no other gym like it in HCMC

It’s probably something I’ve never experienced before – a multi-floor space with facilities for everyone and everything. I was lucky to have Mai supporting and guiding me throughout my visit, helping me explore every room in the facility – and it was truly amazing. The rest of the staff were also incredibly helpful and welcoming. Everything was really professional.

5. The New Gym

Website: https://thenewgym.vn/
Address: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City 70000, Vietnam
Contact: 1900 636 920 | [email protected]
Hours: Available 24/7

Night owls and busy professionals can finally rejoice thanks to a facility that completely eliminates traditional time barriers.

The New Gym operates on an uninterrupted 24/7 schedule. It offers a highly flexible, contract-free model where you pay month-to-month at transparent, flat rates.

A single membership grants you unrestricted access to their entire network of clubs across the city, all outfitted with high-end Matrix Fitness machinery.

Relying on a high-volume operational model means the facility omits luxury recovery services, such as saunas or steam rooms.

You should also brace for severe peak-hour congestion between 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM, which often leads to frustrating wait times for squat racks and benches.

Despite the evening crowds, the heavy-duty climate control systems keep the training floor constantly cool and well-ventilated. The complimentary amenities, such as secure parking, also add significant daily value.

Pros

  • Complimentary essential amenities
  • Inclusive group fitness classes
  • Climate-controlled environment
  • Strategic urban expansion

Cons

  • Severe peak-hour congestion
  • Absence of recovery amenities
